Good As New Shop
Our charity shop is currently closed butwe are hoping to re-open in July 2022 and plan to open 3 days a week Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - 10am - 3pm
We a grateful for any new, used or unwanted items in good condition. Donations can be received in the charity shop or the Friends Gift shop anytime we are open.
We are always happy to receive
Accessories, Mens, Womens & Childrens Clothes, Homewares, Jewellery, Toys, Board Games and Puzzles
Books, Books and More Books... Please
Pop in with your bestsellers, or other books you'll never read or want to use again. You can donate these books directly to our shops here in the hospital during opening hours.
All monies raised through the sale of previously loved items contribute towards our funds to help support our Annual Project.
Becoming a Member of the Friends will provide us with additional income (further details of subscriptions and how to join can be found on the Membership page). All our members receive updates, Annual reports, and twice a year raffle tickets to help with our fund-raising activities.
Volunteering in one of our shops for a few hours a week will help our fund-raising activities and is also an opportunity to meet new people and make new friends. Please contact Una Jefferies in the Friends office if you can spare a morning or afternoon a week.
Knitting, Odd balls of wool and buttons - If you are keen knitters we are always in need of baby garments, cardigans, bootees, hats & blankets, and if you have any spare wool we would be very grateful. We can use wool of all kinds but a single ball of 3 ply will make a pair of baby’s booties and a bonnet for a premature baby. We would appreciate gifts of spare buttons, such as you would use for baby matinee jackets. There is a continual need for all of these items.
Sunshine Fund - Pop a penny or more into a jar every day that the sun shines, and send the total to the Administrator. Last year we raised £828.00 from your small change donations. Every penny will be gratefully received.
Purchase books from our trolley just outside the shop. All books are £1.00.
